The Mom Connection

Once a momma, always a momma. And every stage of "Momhood" often feels like challenging, unchartered territory. Thankfully, there are hundreds of moms all around us experiencing the same challenges, empathizing with us, and willing to share their own experiences to help us navigate our responsibilities of raising children.

The Lighthouse United Methodist Church has recently teamed up with the international organization MomCo, formerly MOPS, to offer local fellowship opportunities for moms at all stages. The Mom Connection will share experiences and support each other in this most important journey of raising our children to become the best responsible and productive adults they can be. Our first meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 4 from 5-6pm.

The group is free and open to all moms and mom-figures who would like to support and be supported by other moms. The Mom Connection is a non-denominational gathering which offers practical tips and topics for moms of all faiths. Free childcare will also be provided in the Sunday School wing of the church, including a light supper for the children, while the moms meet in Fellowship Hall, just off the Gilchrist Avenue entrance.
